Experience the best of South Africa on this well-paced journey, combining the energy of Cape Town with the wildlife of Kruger.

Spend your days exploring coastal scenery, local culture, and the Cape Winelands, before heading into a private game reserve for an unforgettable safari. It’s an easy balance of sightseeing, great food and wine, and time to slow down and take it all in.

Itinerary Overview

  • Arrive in Cape Town where you’ll be met and transferred to More Quarters Boutique Hotel, tucked just off Kloof Street. This area is known for its great mix of cafés, restaurants, and boutique shops, all within easy walking distance.

After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to take it easy—whether that’s relaxing after your journey or heading out for a casual dinner nearby as you settle into the city.

    Overnight Cape Town

  • After breakfast, head out to explore Cape Town and get a feel for its history and culture. Travel through the city centre, passing landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope and City Hall, before stopping in the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, known for its bright houses and strong cultural heritage. You’ll also learn about South Africa’s diamond and gold trade and its influence on the country.

If conditions allow, take the cable car up Table Mountain, where wide views stretch across the city, coastline, and surrounding mountains. The rest of the afternoon is free to continue exploring or relax back at the hotel.

Overnight Cape Town – Meals: Breakfast

  • Today is one of the scenic highlights of the trip. Follow the coastline along the Cape Peninsula, with the ocean on one side and mountain ranges on the other. Pass through coastal suburbs like Sea Point and Camps Bay, and continue on towards Cape Point Nature Reserve. Here, you’ll find rugged cliffs, open landscapes, and sweeping ocean views.

On the return journey, stop at Boulders Beach to see the resident African penguins up close in their natural setting. It’s an easygoing day with plenty of photo stops along the way before heading back to Cape Town in the afternoon.

Overnight Cape Town – Meals: Breakfast

  • After a relaxed start to the day, travel out to the Cape Winelands, one of South Africa’s most beautiful regions. Spend time in Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch, each with its own character and charm. Visit local wine estates for tastings and take in the vineyard views set against the mountains. In Stellenbosch, wander through the town’s oak-lined streets and admire its mix of historic and modern architecture. It’s a well-balanced day of scenery, local flavours, and a slower pace before returning to Cape Town.

Overnight Cape Town – Meals: Breakfast

  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kruger. On arrival, you’ll be met and driven to Lion Sands Tinga Lodge, set within the well-known Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. The lodge sits along the Sabie River, and each suite offers a private space to relax, complete with a deck and plunge pool. After settling in, head out in the late afternoon for your first game drive. This is often one of the best times to spot wildlife as the temperature cools and animals become more active. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and a chance to unwind under the stars.

Overnight Kruger Area – Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

  • The next few days are all about the safari experience, with a good balance of activity and downtime. Mornings start early with game drives led by experienced guides who know the area well and help bring each sighting to life. You may come across elephants moving through the bush, lions resting in the shade, or herds of antelope grazing nearby. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, the middle of the day is yours to relax—whether that’s enjoying the view from your deck, cooling off in the pool, or simply taking in the quiet surroundings.

In the late afternoon, head out again for another game drive as the light softens and the bush takes on a different feel. Evenings are relaxed, with dinner at the lodge and time to share stories from the day or simply enjoy the peaceful setting. Each day offers something different, making this a memorable and unhurried safari experience.
