Grizzly Bears of Knight Inlet Lodge

Located 80 km north of Campbell River, Knight Inlet is a wild and remote area of the Great Bear Rainforest.

As the longest fjord on the BC coast, Indigenous-owned Knight Inlet Lodge offers visitors spectacular scenery set against a backdrop of dramatic mountain peaks plunging into the Pacific Ocean. This floating lodge is tucked into Glendale Cove, which offers one of the few protected anchorages in the inlet, and it is here that you will begin each day’s adventure.

This pristine wilderness is home to grizzly bears, black bears, mountain goats, seals, otters and bald eagles, all thriving in one of Canada's most spectacular natural environments. Wildlife viewing takes place by boat or from purpose-built viewing platforms, depending on the season, offering remarkable opportunities to observe these animals in their natural habitat.

Back at the lodge, comfortable guest rooms, warm hospitality and fresh local cuisine provide a welcoming retreat after a day of exploration. Whether watching a bear forage along the shoreline or simply taking in the stillness of the fjord from the deck, every moment here feels deeply connected to the wilderness that surrounds you.
